This contract is for the repair and maintenance of environmental chambers and freezers at two USDA Forest Service sites in Ansonia, CT and Hamden, CT. The contractor will be responsible for providing all parts and labor for repairs, as directed by authorized personnel. The contractor must have specialized training and certifications to repair both the Environmental Growth Chamber (EGC) and Percival brand environmental chambers. Additionally, the contractor must be familiar with the protocols for working in a quarantine facility, including wearing protective clothing and following waste disposal procedures.

Site Visit Information Quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. The contractor shall provide all parts and labor for repairs upon direction by authorized personnel. The contractor must posess specialized training (cerifications) to repair both the Environmetal Growth Chamber (EGC) and Percival brand environmental chambers that are in use in quarantine to maintain the warentees on equipment. In addition, the qurantine facility is a very specilized environment and requires an understanding of the protocols for working there. Quarantine facilty requirements include wearing of tyvek suit and booties (Govt furnished), equipment must be inspected before removal, all waste is autoclaved, etc.).
