The US Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking a contractor to provide customized dental appliances for their dental clinics across the United States and Puerto Rico. The contractor will be responsible for fabricating the appliances off-site and delivering them to the designated clinics. The US Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement to procure customized dental appliances to be fabricated off-site and delivered to one of twenty-nine (29) Coast Guard Dental Clinics throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. The Contractor shall ensure that all dental laboratory work is delivered to the respective USCG facility upon completion of the job(s). Shipping fees for dental laboratory works within the Continental of the United States, Puerto Rico, and Alaska will be included in the service contract.The dental laboratory shall meet or exceed the industry standards in accordance with established principles, practice and ethics of the dental laboratory profession.The primary place of performance will be at the Contractors own facility. The estimated volume of customized dental appliances requested from Coast Guard clinics range from 500 to 2,000 annually. Coast Guard Dental Officers ensure that over 35,000 active duty and reserve members comply with dental readiness standards and can deploy at a moment's notice. The Contractor/Dental Laboratory will have a professional working relationship with Coast Guard dental providers and will communicate to meet specialrequests or resolve discrepancies in delivery of final product. Some of the customized dental appliances will include:1. Porcelain fused to high noble ceramo-metal crown/bridge with options 2. Processed, flexible partial denture frameworks (ValFplast, Flextite or equivalent material), 3. Denture teeth set up, and processed acrylic denture base 4. Removables (Dentures, Partials, Flippers, etc.).
